Dental prostheses

Payment method

In general, the insured person pays the doctor's invoice directly and requests reimbursement from his competent health insurance fund.

In this case, the insured must send the original, duly paid and receipted invoices aswell as a copy of the approved quotation to his competent fund. The 13-digit national identification number must be indicated. If this is the first request for reimbursement, a bank account number (RIB) must be enclosed. For submissions to the CNS from Luxembourg, the insured does not need to apply a stamp to the envelope.

Coverage rate

80% of the standard rates for dental prostheses are reimbursed, exception made for the maxillofacial restorative prostheses which enjoy 100% indemnification on the standard rates.

The personal deductible just referred to does not apply in the case of protected persons who can prove that they have consulted a dental practitioner for the purpose of a prophylactic examination every year for at least the two consecutive calendar years preceding the introduction of the prosthesis and in the case of children under 18 years.

The personal deductible is also not payable in the case of replacement or repair of a total prosthesis.
