Transportation by taxi

Coverage rates

Before choosing a carrier, it is recommended that the insured person learns about the costs they may have to bear. Carriers are authorised to invoice supplements exceeding the amount covered by health insurance.

Transportation by taxi is covered for the kilometres of the shortest way from the evacuation site of the insured person to the place where care is provided to a maximum extent of one euro and sixty cents (1.60 €) for an outward journey and eighty cents (0.80 €) for an entire journey, which would include returning the person transported to the point of departure.

The waiting period is not covered, except in cases of a total journey including return to the point of departure and not exceeding the maximum tariff which could be covered for the outward journey alone.
