CNS warns about telephone scams

The CNS has been informed by several insured persons of fraudulent calls they have received from numbers beginning with "691". The scammers, who speak English, try to convince their (potential) victims that a fraud has taken place with their CNS card and that they should call their bank by contacting another number.

Be very careful if a suspicious number tries to call you!

If you have any doubts about where the call is coming from, it is best not to pick up the phone, let alone call back. Then block the caller on your phone.

Despite all these precautions, if you have received the call, called back, or even disclosed personal information to the caller, file a complaint with the police without delay.
