As of 21st April 2023, instant payments in CNS agencies can be made to all European banks that are SEPA-ICT-ready.
SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) is a single euro payments area that simplifies the execution of bank transfers and direct debits between participating countries through the standard use of IBAN and BIC. ICT (instant credit transfer) allows for instant payments.
If you are not sure whether your bank is ready for SEPA-ICT, you should check with your bank.
What exactly are instant payments in CNS agencies ?
In addition to the classic cheque, you can now receive an instant payment at one of the CNS agencies.
The conditions are the same as for a cheque, but the advantages of an instant payment include:
- secure and fast in just a few seconds
- no additional cashing of a cheque
