Transportation by other modes of transport

(public transport, private vehicle)

The insured undergoes repetitive medical treatment (serial treatment) abroad. In certain cases, a travel allowance may be paid.

Conditions of coverage

If the insured has not been able to benefit from coverage for serial transport by ambulance or taxi or has chosen another means of transport, a travel allowance may be paid.

Procedures

At the express request of the insured person, the CNS may reimburse the travel expenses. It shall be paid on presentation of the duly completed "Travel expense claim" form accompanied by a certificate of attendance issued by the care provider indicating the dates on which the treatment was carried out.

Coverage rate

The reimbursement of travel expenses is paid at the rate of €0.21 per kilometre of the shortest route between the place where the insured person is staying at the time of departure and the place where he or she receives treatment.
