The insured person must take the necessary preliminary steps for the scheduled treatment abroad to be covered by the health insurance.
For scheduled hospital treatment abroad, the insured person is entitled, under certain conditions, to reimbursement of the cost of patient transport. The only means of transport covered is by ambulance.
Please note: for any treatment scheduled abroad, the request conditions must be met both for the outward journey to the place of treatment and for the return journey.
For transport abroad, reimbursement of travel expenses can be provided by the CNS upon request by the insured person.
Travel costs for cures abroad are not covered by the health insurance.
