Abroad

The insured person must take the necessary preliminary steps for the scheduled treatment abroad to be covered by the health insurance.

For scheduled treatment in a hospital abroad, the insured is entitled, under certain conditions, to have the cost coverage of patient transport by the health insurance. Depending on the insured person's state of health, the mode of transport covered is:

  •  the ambulance or
  • teh helicopter.

Please note: for any treatment scheduled abroad, the request conditions must be met both for the outward journey to the place of treatment and for the return journey.

For transport abroad, reimbursement of travel expenses can be provided by the CNS upon request by the insured person.

Travel costs for cures abroad are not covered by the health insurance.
