Simplified reimbursement procedure for hearing aids

Since 1 January 2025, obtaining CNS reimbursement for a hearing aid has become much simpler and faster.

Gone are the days of multiple procedures for authorisation, assessment appointments to determine lump-sum reimbursements, and long waiting times. From now on, a simple prescription from my ENT doctor is all that I need!

The changes in a nutshell

Fast-track procedure: All I need is a simple prescription from my ENT doctor. I give it to my audioprosthesist, who will check that the conditions for reimbursement are met. If they do, reimbursement is effective immediately.
Simplified procedure: No need to attend an appointment to determine the lump-sum reimbursement, or to wait for authorisation in the form of a certificate of coverage.
Unique lump-sum coverage: For an adult, a lump sum of €950 is covered per device (€1,900 for stereo equipment). Children under the age of 18 receive an additional €450 per device.
100% reimbursement: My audioprosthesist in Luxembourg must provide at least one device that is adapted to my needs and fully reimbursed.
Free and comprehensive hearing aid monitoring: During the renewal period for my hearing aid, my audioprosthesist will provide free, comprehensive monitoring, including audiometric measurements and adjustments.
