Beware of false incapacity certificates!

The CNS warns against ordering certificates of incapacity for work from online platforms, without consultation or examination by a doctor.

The CNS refuses all certificates acquired online without personal contact with the doctor or issued by unknown doctors. No benefits will be paid and the employer will be informed. In addition to the possible consequences in terms of labour law, the insured person who uses such certificates is liable to a fine and to legal action by the CNS.

In all cases, the certificate will be declared null and void. The amount of the fine depends on the duration of the false certificate:

  • False certificate of less than or equal to three days' incapacity to work: €200
  • False certificate involving more than three days' incapacity for work: 500 euros
  • Repeat offence, regardless of the duration: 750 euros

As of today, these doctors are listed as unknown :

  • Umar Masroor
  • Samueel Zubair
  • Haresh Kumar
  • Ahmad Abdullah
  • Sahar Rezgani
  • Imen Missaoui
  • Harbel Lakhder
