RTL report - Immediate Direct Payment at the CHL

The Immediate Direct Payment (PID) system, which means patients no longer have to pay upfront for medical consultations and treatments, was introduced at the end of 2023.

A year and a half later, Immediate Direct Payment (PID) is bearing fruit, with a growing number of doctors participating in the scheme.

Since the beginning of the year, the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) has also been preparing for a complete transition to this system, which allows patients to pay only the amount actually owed.
